GeoComply receives Temporary Certificate of Authority in Louisiana

GeoComply has received a Temporary Certificate of Authority related to its Sports Wagering Service Provider Licence application in Louisiana.

As a result, sports betting operators can utilise the company’s geolocation technology as well as IDComply, one of its flagship products.

Lindsay Slader, Managing Director of Gaming at GeoComply, commented: “We are so pleased to be approved to service our clients and partners in Louisiana. The launch of sports in Louisiana has been eagerly awaited by the GeoComply team this fall and we are ready to support the deployment of online sports betting as quickly as the state is able to allow it.”

GeoComply’s software is installed and used on more than 400 million devices and according to its data, it analyses over three billion transactions every year. Its list of customers includes Amazon, BBC, Akamai, DraftKings, FanDuel and MGM Resorts International.

Recently, data released by GeoComply for Connecticut’s online sports betting and casino market showed a strong start and proved New York’s appetite for legal and regulated betting.

Further GeoComply data also recently showed legal online sports betting has more than doubled year-on-year in the US.

Since its launch in 2011, GeoComply has been providing trusted solutions for reliable, secure, and accurate geolocation services. The company currently supports regulated online casino, poker, sports betting, lottery, ADW, and DFS operators in 42 US states to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

GeoComply won the Digital Product of the Year Award at this year’s Global Gaming Awards with its IDComply product.
