Counter Logic Gaming Endorses Spectrum as Official Internet Provider
- Counter Logic Gaming named Spectrum its official high speed internet provider.
- Spectrum will become the presenting sponsor for the team’s gaming lounge.
- The deal adds to an already healthy amount of endorsement activity by CLG.
Counter Logic Gaming has named Spectrum the team’s official high speed internet provider. As a part of the sponsorship deal, Spectrum hooked up the CLG Performance Center with Fiber Optic Internet service and, in return, secured naming rights for the team’s gaming lounge.
“We’re extremely proud to partner with Spectrum and to usher them into the esports industry,” CLG COO Nick Allen said. “Esports exists because of the internet and it only makes sense that we work with an industry leader such as Spectrum. Every millisecond matters in esports, and we wanted to provide our players with the best possible training environment.”
CLG will also include Spectrum branding on the team’s social media accounts and livestreams, and the deal comes three days after the team announced a sponsorship deal with web publisher Squarespace. The team also partnered with OMEN by HP in March, and made Kia Motors a sponsor for its Rocket League team in April.
“The internet is central to everything we do here at CLG and Spectrum allows our entire staff and players here at the CLG Performance Center to work efficiently and without interruption,” CLG Marketing Director Adam Hobbs said. “When you have multiple teams practicing and playing here and a sizable staff running CLG’s operations, you don’t want bandwidth to ever be an issue.”
